Formed in Manchester in 1991 by Liam Gallagher, Paul Arthurs, Paul McGuigan, and Tony McCarroll, the band quickly recruited Noel Gallagher to take over songwriting duties for the official formation of the band. The band rose to prominence with their signature Britpop sound throughout the 90s and became prominent leaders in the genre with the release of their debut album ‘Definitely Maybe’ in 1994.

The band's debut album became the fastest-selling debut album in British music history when Oasis established their hold on the music scene. Furthermore, their follow-up album (What’s the Story) ‘Morning Glory?’ in 1995 spent ten weeks at number one on the British charts and rocketed the band into international stardom with the hits ‘Wonderwall’ and ‘Champagne Supernova’.

Oasis went on to release successful follow-up albums, including Be Here Now (1997), Standing on the Shoulder of Giants (2000), Heathen Chemistry (2002), Don’t Believe the Truth (2005), and Dig Out Your Soul (2008). Their eclectic discography has resulted not only in celebrated anthems but also in 75 million records being sold worldwide.
